ELAINE HAERTEL ALLEN

After living on Long Island in New York and working as a High School English Teacher I moved to San Francisco and worked in a law firm. From there I moved to downtown Chicago and worked as a Paralegal for 6 years. When I got married I moved to Maadi, Egypt for about 8 months and then we bought a house in Oak Park. In about 5 years we moved to the Rochester Area, then to Central Illinois to a tiny town called Peru, and finally to Orchard Park, New York where I became a Professional Photographer and worked for the Buffalo News in the Creative Services Department, as well as for a Photography Studio doing weddings, portraits, sports, etc. In addition I had my own small photography business which catered mostly to friends. In 2008 we moved back to Oak Park.
