Chuck Broucek was my "adopted brother' and one of my best friends.  Adopted brother by the fact that he came to my house every morning to hitch a ride with my brother and me up Ridgeland Ave. to school. Weekends we tried to keep each other out of trouble that evryone else got into.    Riding around Saturday nights, scrapping change together for gas.  Draining the gas hoses of gas pumps after the station had closed.  Many good memories. His 49 Ford 2 door with no heater.

Many fine memories of our days at OPRF.  Too - he is responsible for me completing my undergrad college education at Dakota Wesleyan Unioversity.  I was resposible for getting him a position at Automatic Electric after his college graduation. Chuck lost his first wife Sue, (class of 64') to cancer after I lost my wife Janis (class of 64) to cancer.  He remarried and lived in Scotsdale, Az. with his second wife until his passing February 2003 of a suden coronary while in Long Beach, CA on a business trip.

God bless him.
