Oh that beautiful smile and addicting laugh!  My jealousy of her beautiful red hair.  She was the joy of the class of 1963.  So hard that Shirlyn has left us in such a tragic way.  May our Lord be with her entire family who has to  bare the grief of this unexpected loss.  May all of us from 63 at OPRF greet everyday with all ya got and make the most of our blessings.

As I reflect on our most beautiful classmate, it is fitting that I am listening to one of the most beautiful piano pieces of music ever written:  Chopin Nocturne op 9 No 2.

Someday, when we move to our Whitefish, Montana Mountain Retreat I had planned to contact you at your Big Fork, Montana home. Now that Someday will never come. How very sad. RIP.

Love, Cherise

Lots of memories...........but one that emerges vividly is outdistancing the NFL blackout of the 1963 championship game by driving up to Rockford with Jane, Al & Shirlyn. Once in a great while I would run into Shirlyn out here in the Fox Valley. I had looked forward to the next time. So sorry to hear of this!

We will miss her. She was a great person and she was a riot .I never saw her have a down day, always laughing. Everyone who knew her liked her, a rare occurance in someone..

Remember Shirlyn from highschool as we had the cold weather cornered with Snow and Frost. Will always remember fondly a large dog her family had that "answered" my phone call to Shirlyn -- the dog had knocked off the ringing phone and there was just heavy breathing in response to my call. Great fun when we teen figured it out.  Also, at Shirlyn's home, her mother prepared a BLT for us - a food my mom never made, and one I thought was fit only for the gods!  RIP Shirlyn and deepest condolences to her family.

Beautiful and spirited, Shirlyn.  What a tragic loss for the class of '63 and all of us who loved your sweet smile and caring heart.  But to know that you are waiting to greet us for the final reunion is a loving comfort.  Missing you.....

When one reads the posts for Shirlyn they all have one thing in common...her smile and laugh. Shirlyn was one of the nicest people in the 1963 class. I will always remember this beautiful red head with the most terrific laugh.

Shirlyn, you are fondly remembered and loved.

Until we meet again!
