​John was a friend from Whittier grade school. He moved to River Forest and we became good friends in high school and during our college years. We reconnected again in the past ten years - since Sally and I moved to Florida - and it has been a wonderful ride. Sally and I have gotten to know a John we never knew before: a prolific painter, a conservationist and a kayaker. I shall miss him terribly. He is at peace now.
Tremendouly talented...super smart and really nice guy....always impressed when I used Oil of Olay thinking that one of my classmates actually had something to do with reducing wrinkles !! Thanks John Howie!!! R.I.P.
