School Story

Fractured my knee my first day in high school at football tryouts in '57. Coach let me just lay there the whole practice and then called me a "pussy foot pony leaguer" I guess because I played baseball. Then made me crawl up my front stairs, and what followed was the coach being threatened with being fired. But my mother had a lot of kindness in her and forgave this coach for his absurd and cruel treatment.
Am now retired dreaming about
my past and any existing past or present joy. For happiness and joy are all that really matter!
